Browsers: Clear the Cache in Browsers (Internet Explorer 11, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox--PCs)

Instructions for clearing the cache in Internet Explorer 11, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox.

 

Internet Explorer

1.  Open Internet Explorer.

2.  At the top of the screen, click on Tools and select Delete Browsing History...

NOTE: If you do not see the tools menu, hold down the ALT + T on the keyboard.

3.  In the Delete Browsing History window, click to put a check mark next to Temporary Internet files and website files. Click Delete.

After the files have been deleted, you will see a message like the following, at the bottom of the screen.. Click the X to exit the message.

 

Google Chrome

1.   Open Google Chrome. Click the Settings icon to the right of the address bar.

2.   Select History>History.

3.   Click Clear browsing data...

4.   Click to insert a check mark next to Cached images and files. Click Clear data.

5.   When finished, click X to close the Settings and History tab at the top of the window.

Mozilla Firefox

1.   Open Firefox. Click on the Settings icon to the right of the address bar.

2.   Click on Library.

3.   Click on History.

4.   Click on Clear Recent History.

5.   Set Time range to clear to Everything, Select box to put check mark next to Cache. click OK.

6.   The cache is cleared and you will be returned to your browser window.
