How to Clear the Cache in Browsers (Internet Explorer 11, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox--PCs)

Overview:
Below are instructions for clearing the cache in Internet Explorer 11, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox.

Internet Explorer

1.  Open Internet Explorer.

2.  At the top of the screen, click on Tools and select Delete Browsing History...

NOTE: If you do not see the tools menu, hold down the ALT + T on the keyboard.

3.  In the Delete Browsing History window, click to put a check mark next to Temporary Internet files and website files. Click Delete.

After the files have been deleted, you will see a message like the following, at the bottom of the screen.. Click the X to exit the message.

Google Chrome

Open Google Chrome. Click the Settings icon to the right of the address bar.

 

Select History and recent tabs>History.

 

Click Clear browsing data...

 

Click to insert a check mark next to Cached images and files. Click Clear browsing data.

 

When finished, click X to close the Settings tab at the top of the window.

Mozilla Firefox

 Open Firefox. Click on the Settings icon to the right of the address bar.

Click on History.

Select Clear Recent History...

Select box to put checkmark next to Cache. click Clear Now.

The cache is cleared and you will be returned to your browser window.
