How to add Alternative formats

The Alternative formats feature automatically generates multiple formats of course content, such as audio, ePub, electronic braille, tagged PDFs, and more.

Note: The list of available formats will vary depending on the type of file you're alternating.

Note: The quality of downloaded Alternative formats depends on the quality of the original file.

1. Click the Alternative formats button select an alternative format, and click Download. The formatted file will download to your computer.

5. Upload the new file to the Content area.

Note: It may take a few minutes to see the Alternative formats button and Accessibility score indicator for recently uploaded files.

How to view and manage the Accessibility score

The Accessibility score provides visual indicators to help you understand the accessibility level of your content and offers guidance on how to improve it.

Note that Ally's primary purpose is to recognize missing accessibility features. Ally does not have the ability to correct accessibility issues.

1. Click the Accessibility score indicator next to a file .

2. The file will open with a side panel that includes Accessibility information:

  1. Accessibility score - The overall score of the file.
  2. Suggestions - Offers suggestions to increase the Accessibility score. The "What this means" button helps you understand the suggestion, and the "How to..." button helps you apply the suggestion.
  3. Upload a new version - Allows you to upload a new document.

A screenshot of a computerAI-generated content may be incorrect.
