Installing Office 2016 (Students, Faculty and Staff - MAC Machines)

Overview:
Office 2016 and Office 365 are provided to all Students, Faculty and Staff free of charge for as long as they are enrolled as students or current employees at Radford University. Students, Faculty, and Staff can follow the steps provided below to install the MAC version of Office to their machines. These programs can be installed on up to 5 devices.

FOR STUDENTS
Go to the Radford University home page and click the MyRU link on the right side of the screen http://www.radford.edu/.

Login using your RU username and password

Then choose the EMAIL link

After you have logged into your Radford University email account, click on Office 365 button located at the upper left of the screen


You will then see a screen similar to the one below.  Click on the Install now button.


FOR FACULTY AND STAFF
Click this link: Install Microsoft Office Pro Plus Now

You will be prompted to enter your Radford UserID and your Password (you do not need to include the @radford.edu in your login).


At the next screen, click Install.

You will be prompted to Save or Open the file.  Save the file to your computer. (Make note of where it is saved.  It is usually in your Downloads folder, but not always).

After your software has downloaded, open the file to begin your installation.

FOR STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF
After your software has downloaded, click Downloads and open the file to begin your installation.

Click Continue and your Office 2016 software will begin installing on your Mac computer.
(When the question "How would like to get started?" appears, click "Sign in to an existing Office 365 subscription".  You will then be prompted to enter your RU username and password to register your copy of Office 365 with Radford University.)


After Office 2016 finishes installing, you will see the below confirmation message.

 If prompted to install the Office 2016 update, go ahead and install that update.
