Overview: How to use the Cisco AnyConnect VPN on MacOS
NOTE: If you have a Radford University computer, AnyConnect VPN software is already installed and you can skip to step 1 below. If you are using a personal computer, please follow these steps before continuing to step 1 below.
Download the VPN client for Macintosh by accessing https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/smb/routers/cisco-rv-series-small-business-routers/smb5642-install-cisco-anyconnect-secure-mobility-client-on-a-mac-com-rev1.html and clicking the Download button, open the PDF Download Option to read the documentation on how to download and install AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.
Open the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client app.
1. Click Connect
2. Enter your Username and Password, click OK
3. Read the VPN Server policy, click Accept
4. H: Drive will show as well as any whale share drives that you connect as if you were on the campus network.
Note: When off-campus, a VPN connection is required to connect to an RU server share.
