Overview: Desire2Learn allows instructors to copy content between courses, including, but not limited to Quizzes, Dropbox folders, and Widgets. This is a very useful tool for instructors who offer similar courses simultaneously or during separate semesters. This article demonstrates the process of copying course components/content from one course to another.
1. Login to the D2L course in which you wish to copy content.
2. Click the Course Admin option on the Navbar.
3. Under the heading Site Resources, click the Import/Export/Copy Components option.
4. Choose Copy Components from Another Org Unit and then click Search for offering.
5. A course may be searched for by typing in a name of a current course and then click the radio dial button next to the name of the course you wish to copy components from, and then click Add Selected.
6. The name of the course you are copying from will be listed under Course to Copy. Then click Copy All Components.
7. Wait until the Copy Course Components History screen processes all components and a green check mark appears. Then click View Content.
Check the content to verify that it was successfully copied.
