Overview:

D2L allows instructors to view pages as a student or other roles.  This is very useful when instructors intend to reveal course content a little bit at a time or at their preference at certain points in the semester.  It also allows instructors to make sure everything is appearing correctly for students and others.

To change your view, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your course and click on your name in the upper righthand corner.  You will see a drop-down menu appear after you click your name.

  1. Click on the role you want to view by either clicking View as Student or clicking on a role on the list underneath.  The page will refresh and your name in the upper righthand corner now lets you know which role you selected to view pages.
