Banner Admin Pages: Authentication Failed when Using Google Chrome or MS Edge


Overview: 

Some users receive an Authentication Failed message when accessing Banner Admin pages from Google Chrome and MS Edge browsers. Below are listed the steps to update your Chrome settings to allow authentication.

 

If the message above appears when opening Banner Admin pages from Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge:

  1. Copy and paste the following URL:
  2. Change the setting for Local Network Access checks from Default to Disabled.
  3. Relaunch Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
  4. If you use both of these browsers for Banner Admin pages, you will need to make the change in both browsers.
