Printing: Connecting a Mac Computer to a RICOH Printer


Overview:

The following directions will assist you in installing the RICOH printer drivers on your Mac computer.

 

Note: Each printer has two drivers that will need to be downloaded to your computer, black-and-white and color.  (If you have a computer issued after 8/1/24, start on #5 of the instructions listed below.)

 

Install new printer:

  1. Open spotlight in the top toolbar and search for Self Service.
  1. Select Self Service.

  1. Select Drivers from the Browse menu.
  1. Select Install Ricoh Printer Drivers.

  1. Open Apple System Settings.
  1. Search for printer.
  1. Select Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax.

  1. Search for the name of your printer (example: ITAT02-BW, ITAT02-COLOR) Each printer has two names, -BW and -COLOR.  Both will need to be installed.
  1. Select the name of your printer from the list.
  1. From the Use Menu, choose Select Software. (The software will be identified in the location field. For example, Kyle 266b- Ricoh IMC6010, identifies Ricoh IMC6010 as the software.)
  1. Select the printer software from the list and select OK.

  1. Select Add.
  1. Repeat these steps to install both printers, -BW and -COLOR.
  1. Once both printers have been installed, in the Printer menu select Default Printer and select the black-and-white (-BW) printer as the default.
