Printing: Connecting a Windows Computer to a RICOH Printer

Overview:

The following directions will assist you with installing the RICOH printer drivers for Windows computers.

NOTE: Each printer has two drivers that will need to be downloaded to your computer, black-and-white and color.

Install New Printer:

  1. Find the name of the printer to which you wish to connect. This is usually labeled on the front of the printer. If it is not visible, ask a colleague or call the Technology Assistance Center for the name of the printer. You can also check your old machine if it is on hand. Each printer has two names.

Example: \\papercut\example1-bw

                \\papercut\example1-color

  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows button and R at the same time. This will open a Run Command prompt box.

  1. Type the name of the printer in the Open box: \\papercut\PRINTERNAME-BW

  1. Select OK.
