Zoom: Sharing a PowerPoint as the Virtual Background


Overview:

When using Zoom, the host can share their PowerPoint presentation as their Virtual Background. This allows your video to be directly on the slides for a more interactive experience.

 

  1. While in a Zoom Meeting, click the Share Screen button located at the bottom of the screen.

 

 

  1. Click Advanced.

 

 

  1. Select PowerPoint as the Virtual Background and click Share.

 

 

  1. From your files, find the PowerPoint presentation that you would like to share, select the presentation, and click Open.

  1. With your camera on, a live video of the presenter appears in the bottom corner of the screen. You can move this image around the screen and adjust the size of the picture.

  1. When you have finished sharing your PowerPoint, click Stop Share at the top of the screen.
