- On the current homepage, click on the triple dots in the bottom right of the page and click on Manage Homepages.

- Do one of the following:

-
- If there is a default homepage you like and want to edit, click on the dropdown arrow next to it, select Copy and then click on the copy of the default homepage once it is created.

- Name your homepage (required) and provide a description (optional).

- Decide if your homepage will be Widget-based, showcase a D2L Tool of your choice or have an External URL of your choice be the homepage.

NOTE: The next steps will be talking about Widget-based homepages. If you decide on Tool or External URL you can skip to step 8.
- For Widget-based homepages, you can decide to have a header and what the header says.

NOTE: The default {OrgUnitName} will put the name of the course as the header.
- Click on Change Layout, select a layout in the pop-up window and click on Update. The layout can organize and group Widgets in certain areas on the page. This can be changed at any time and is based on your preference.

- Click on Add Widgets in each group to add the Widgets you want to appear on the homepage in the area you want them to be.

NOTE: You can drag and drop the Widgets once they have been added. If you hover over them, you can see an X that you can click to delete that Widget.
- When you are ready, click Save and Close.

- You will be taken to the Homepages screen. Your newly created homepage will be on this list. To set your created homepage as your new homepage, click on the dropdown box under Active Homepage, select the homepage you want and click Apply.

NOTE: Homepages you create are course specific and will not appear in your other courses as an option unless you copy it over.
