Overview:
In D2L there is an option to hide or share certain information as the instructor deems necessary. The following can be made hidden (and later revealed): files, modules, quizzes, discussions, certain links, assignments, and much more. Depending on how the information or activity is presented, this option can be found either during or after creating content either in the Content tab or a specific activity tab.

Hiding New Material while on the Content Tab
NOTE: The activities not indicated cannot be marked hidden immediately and will need to be changed to hidden after adding it in.
NOTE: If you want to view any page as a student or a different role you can look at this article about how to change your view of your D2L course – D2L How to View a Page as a Student. This will allow you to make sure students only see what you want them to.
