Overview:
This article goes over the Quick Eval tool and features it has to offer to help grade assignments quickly. Quick Eval displays a list of unevaluated learner submissions across Assignments, Quizzes and Discussions. If the educator has viewed a learner submission or post, but not published feedback (using either text, score, grade, rubric, competency or outcome), it continues to be listed in Quick Eval until the evaluation is complete or it is dismissed.
- On the D2L homepage as an instructor, Quick Eval is there for you to view on the upper righthand side above Student Help/Support Resources.

- Looking at Quick Eval, you can see the name of the activity, the course name it is from, the activity type based on the icon and how many new submissions there are.

- You can either click on an individual activity to grade or click on View all activities to get an overview of submissions and activities in all of your courses.

- You will see the Activities page in Quick Eval that shows activities in all your courses with the course name, activity name and type, how many new posts/submissions, how many students have completed the activity, how many have been evaluated and how many have been published.

- Hovering over the Completed, Evaluated and Published numbers will give you the option to Evaluate All, view the Submission List or click on More Actions that allows you to Publish All those that are graded and/or Dismiss until… to hide assignments temporarily or permanently from your view.

NOTE: Clicking on Evaluate All or Submission List will take you away from this screen to grade or view submissions.
- Near the top righthand side, you can use filters and a search box to better find what you are looking for.

- Clicking on the Submissions button will take you to view all submissions in all your courses with the student’s name, activity’s name, course name and the submission date.

NOTE: Just like with the Activities page, you can filter and search to find what you need.
- On both the Submissions and Activities page there is a triple dot icon that, once clicked, will reveal the Dismissed activities option that allows you to view any activities you made hidden.

- You can view this tool in any course if you click Quick Eval on the NavBar. The Quick Eval accessed from a course will only show submissions and activities from that course.

- When viewing Quick Eval in a course, you can change the view to all courses by clicking on the triple dot icon near the upper righthand corner and selecting Multi-Course Quick Eval.
